The West Village is full of interesting characters, and we’ve met most of them over the 71 years that we’ve had a shop on Bleecker Street.
Today a man who was mute came in, thirsty for a cherry soda. He drew a little picture of cherry soda and pointed. Conveniently, we’d just gotten in some samples, so Steve gave him a cold bottle and said it was on the house. The man smiled gratefully and left. He came back about an hour later with this gift for us.
